New Guy In New Zealand

Finally I haf internet! sry for being gone for so long, but u know la. Had to settle in and all that. haha.

anyway, I’m doing fine here so far. at least on the day I’m typing this. it’s a Sunday I’m typing this btw. been here since friday.

so far its been ok. Friday was a crazy day tho. cuz that was the day I was flying. and the day b4 I left Malaysia. man honestly when leaving, there was one thing I regret. n that’s not being able to say bye properly to everyone who came. yea n u know why? cuz I had to rush cuz JPA wanted us to go down so fast. I mean there was like no time at all. all I cud do was push my bags all to the place to go in and give a quick hug to ppl who were there and jus go down. heck I cudnt even say bye to my mom cuz we she was still walking there from McD (we were having dinner there b4 I had to rush away). so I only cud give a small hug to the ppl there. it was so horrible not bein to say a proper goodbye. haih. and I wont see u all for soooo long. this totally sux. =( i’m so sry ppl. I wish I had more time with u all. to say a proper goodbye at least. but thx Benji,Dana,Lauren,Su Teng,Isaak,Jo,Dheepan so much coming all the way for that small bit of time. haih.

n can u imagine I had so much time b4 tht? Jo, Dheepan and I were jus stoning near the arrival area also. sheesh la. I so shud haf had my dinner then so I had more time later. HAIHHHHHH. plus i was flying at 160 to reach the airport on time cuz we only left at 4 from my house and we're supposed to b there at 4.30. i reached in 15 min man. even more wasted time. ish.

anyway, we went n so early and the gate wasn’t even open yet. sheesh la. but thankfully I managed to kill time. thx Wei Zhen for the call. it really did help. cuz I was feeling so horrible abt the shitty goodbye. plus it also helped kill time.

so anyway after waiting a bit more after getting in the gate, we finally boarded the plane. and that’s when it felt better too. cuz the plane was like so cool! well at least to me la. guess cuz the other planes I’ve been on are not as canggih. haha. whats so gr8 abt the plane? first of all it had a display panel just for you. like ur own personal one.

I found that sooooo cool. and that panel can do loads of stuff. like ur own choice of movies,tv shows,music,games and other stuff. there was like so many things under those categories to choose from. and tht display panel also comes with a cool control/joystick thing to control. and when u turn it sideways its like a controller for PS.

cool right? haha. ok maybe I’m jus being jakun la. haha. andd also when ure not doing anything with the panel it displays all sorts of info abt the plane. like the temp outside (the coldest I saw it was -41ºC K), the speed of the plane, the altitude, the map of where the plane is and is flying to and the distance away and all that stuff. really cool. and if u guys think I speed think again! haha! the pilot was goin at 1000km/h k at one point. he was like flying at that speed. literally. =P haha!

and another thing which I found interesting was they served beer and wine too. and anyone can ask for it cept small kids of course. I only got the beer cuz Calvin took one for me. pretty interesting. haha. and the food was ok la I gave. the beef was pretty tough. but ok. watched Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. ok la the show. its some kids show la. not that gr8. for me at least. after the movie tried sleeping. din work out too well as I cant sleep sitting up. leaned over the table thing and tried. not sure if I really slept, but I doubt I did la.

anyway, we landed at Sydney at abt 9.30 smth like that we had to sorta rush cuz our plane was at 11.30 and we only finally managed to get out of our plane from KL abt almost 10. plus we had to get our tickets and what not, so yea we were kinda rushin. and the airport security there is really fussy. they even made us take out our laptops to go through the scanner. sheesh. so we sorta rushed through everything and went to our gate only to find out our plane still had a long way more b4 leaving. haha.

so we got onto the plane at Sydney and left for Auckland. the plane ride was ok. was trying to sleep the whole journey cuz I sorta din sleep the night b4 and all that. but yea it din work again la. haih. so yea. stayed up a tiny bit and ate and listened to my music. thank goodness I brought my discman. could listen to my new FOB From Under The Cork Tree CD courtesy of Miriam,Wei Zhen and Peter. thx again ppl. =)

then finally reached Auckland and went to get our baggage. the worst part is Siew Ping and Li Ying’s baggage hadn’t arrived yet after we all got ours. we only found out later that it didn’t come altogther. so we kinda waited and accompanied her for a bit while she went to make a report. but the line was kinda long and our next flight was like less than an hour away. so Mat (the group leader) told us to go ahead first. and then our rush began. like seriously. cuz now we had to go on domestic flight to Christchurch. and that was bad. cuz the Domestic terminal is like a 15 min walk away. so with our bags and the cold wind blowing in our faces, we sorta ran if we cud with our trolleys in the cold air of Auckland to the Domestic terminal. then we reached there Calvin realized he had lost his ticket to Christchurch given to him at the Sydney airport. so we kinda looked around and tried finding it of course. but no luck it cudn b found.

but thankfully he had a paper thingy which said he already got the ticket so he managed to claim another ticket. so then while Calvin went to check in, the rest of us (11 at that time cuz Mat was accompanying Li Ying and Siew Ping to make a report for their bags) went to check in. I was kinda the first so when I was done with checking in I met one of the Auckland Uni seniors who was nearby and she told me to rush to the gate and tell them to hold on for a while cuz the others were late cuz we were waiting for the lost bags.

so then another rush came…. HAIH.. giler rush la with all the flights. so anyway, RUSHED there jus to find out there’s another 5 minute wait b4 we get in. so finally when they opened to board the plane everyone in my group had arrived already. so we boarded and cuz we were so tired we basically jus din do much and jus sat in our chair. and finally after an hour plus on the last flight we reached Christchurch. we met up with the ppl we were supposed to follow to the Accomodation Halls. taxi drivers actually. they sent us to the places. they came in 3 diff cabs at diff times to pick us up. I was in the last one. so I was basically standing out in the cold with Fazley and Afifi waiting for a cab.

then we realized that it was only 9pm and it only looked like 7pm. seriously. it was sooo bright. plus! it jus finished raining so it was damn cold ok. got wind blowing all somemore. we cud also see our own breath! that’s how cold it was. but since we were wearing suits and all we were kinda ok la. but still freaking cold! haha.

anyway, taxi came n took us to our respective halls and got us settled in and all. my room is ok. big enough and I’m not complaining. the only prob is that there is no mirror at all. like really. and the heater isn’t working currently. but otherwise all ok. unpacked everything and then watched my One Tree Hill ep 6 while eating dinner. and finally slept at abt 12am local time. which is abt 7pm Malaysian time.

so that’s abt it for my first day. yes. first day. I know its a lot. haha. but more to come! now I’m gonna sleep. its almost 11pm now. and I have to wake up early tmrw (Monday 18/02/2008).

ok then. gnite!

p.s.: the are a lack of pics when I was on the flight and all that cuz batt was low from all the calling and msging to ppls. plus I din bring an adapter. so I cudn’t charge my phone til the 2^nd night. so yes no pics from the 2^nd day. nth much anyway.

p.s.2:thx so much Su Teng for the mail. =) and yes there a lot of ur hawtt guys here. there's one emo looking dude from church whom i'm sure u'll love too. got a pic but not so clear. and yea. almost everyone here has like green or blue eyes. mostly blue tho. haha! =P

11 Hours Left

ok so i have abt 11 hours left in malaysia. abt 3 hours plus left at home.

both my bags are overweight. n i have to idea how to reduce the weight at all la. like seriously.

crazy la. stress giler. think i 'm gonna go to my bag and start moving things out la. no choice
ish. stupid baggage weight rule.

ok gtg. no idea why i'm online. this will prob b the last post in a long time.

so i jus wanna say that i'll miss u guys a lot. love u guys for everything u've done for me here. eventhough i dun show it, know that i really really appreciate it. a lot.

cuz this is smth Julian pointed out that day after reading my previous post. what he said is that he wont be around cuz he may b overseas studying (or touring =P ).

and then i realized that even when i come back after 4 years i wont b seeing most of u all la. cuz u guys will b furthering ur studies and goin all over the place.

some ppl also may b migrating to other countries. that even worse for me. but not sure yet la right? but still!

my plane will (supposedly) b leaving at 10.40p.m. to Sydney. Then from there i'm taking another NZ airlines plane to Auckland. Then another plane to Christchurch.

Landing in Christchurch at abt 8 smth their local time. which means abt 4 smth here la.

and i'll b at KLIA from 6p.m. cuz of JPA. sheesh la. 4 hours wait. haha.

SWITCHFOOT! Part 2

heh. ok so after love me butch was Altered Frequency.


man they were so good too. like really. i love their music. esp cuz they songs are actually Christian based and they get to sing it out loud to everyone. tot that was cool la. plus they are really really good la. i liked their song Beyond Now. i do believe its from their new album. cept its not out yet la. ish. when it comes out i'm so gonna buy it. oh and also near the end of their performance, the drummer was playing til one of his sticks flew off . so he ended up playing with one stick. and he made it look so natural. haha. Agnel u r seriously damn cool man. =D



so that was the 8th good thing. rocking openings in my opinion. i tot it was a really great way to open a concert with those two bands la.

and then after waiting some time more, then all we've been waiting for came: SWITCHFOOT!


it was sooo cool la. the started off with the Meant To Live intro and jus when the crowd started singing the verse, they stopped. and Jon Foreman said smth i cudnt catch and then the drums started Oh! Gravity and they went into the whole song. such a cool way to start la. cekapness. they even did that crazy piano part. haha.

the whole concert i would say was filled with great startings to all their songs. like cekap la. they even did Beyonce's crazy in love which transitioned into Gone and back and into some other song i cant remember. it was soo cool.


and Jon Foreman also looked like he was having the time of his life la playing up there. he got onto the drums at one part and jus jumped off and landed then fell to the floor. he also got up on the amp and jumped off too. he grabbed the cymbals from the drums and went around crashing it during one song. he was even walking on the edge of the stage while singing "I'm standing on the edge" from On Fire. he even played with his teeth ok. haha!


he also took one of the media crews camera and got everyone in the crowd to take a synchronised flash. he sorta went up to the crowd twice and jus stood there to sing and sorta lepak with the crowd i guess. haha. and the 2nd time he came down he even asked for one guy's camera and took a picture with it. sooo coooolll. lucky guy la the guy who owns the camera.


but seriously la. the band looked like they were really having fun playing all their songs and all. not jus putting on a show. oh yeah! they even froze for like a minute plus during their American Dream song. its that video which i posted up a few days ago la. soo cool right?

plus the music wasn't too loud or annoying or anything. it was just perfect and nice. plus they sound so freakingly amazingly awesome live. they sound so good.


and Jon Foreman sings and plays! and i dun mean simple simple chords all. i'm talking abt those soloish parts. darn pro wei. ok la i wud notice cuz i was looking at what all of them were playing most of the time. haha. guess its like natural musician instinct kot? haha.

plus!!! his Jon Foreman's guitar is like the cooollest guitar i've seen ever la. the design on it was like damn cekapness la. it was like on the Oh! Gravity album cover. sooo awesome.


so the concert, wait no. cancel that.

so the AWESOME concert went on for abt one and a half hours or more. or definitely more than that. they did Dare You To Move as an encore jus before they left the stage for the last time. i was basically watchinng his fingers and watching what he was playing again la, but it was still really good la. haha. then it was finally over.



the most awesomest best concert i've been to. 9th good thing.


so yea. was kinda hanging around after the concert taking photos and meeting ppl and all that. bought a cd but sold it cuz i din want it in the end. haha. there was a meet and greet session after the concert la. but unfortunately i cudn't stay for that cuz i had to rush for the lrt and ktm. oh well, the line was very long anyway. haha. so basically i left the convention centre at abt 10.45 to run to catch an lrt train. and when i say run i mean run. i seriously ran all the way like cops were trying to catch me all the way from the convention centre to inside klcc to inside the lrt. when i got off the lrt at Sentral also i ran. and i wasn't the only one. another guy in front of me was also running like crazy. haha.

so i ran and when i reach the ktm it jus arrived. my lucky day huh. haha. and when i got inside, the guy announced that this was the last train leaving. that was even luckier. i mean it makes all the running worth it. i can actually go home! yay! haha. so ya, catching the last train home is definitely good thing number 10. =P

then when i was in the train i noticed smth else. my shoes were clean! ok la not super clean but jus as clean as when i came. haha! i mean seriously. everyone in the concert was jumping around with their hands and everything across everybody else (like really ppl jus put hands on each other for support and all that. even i did cuz there was so much pushing and all that.). but even with all that my shoes were fine! (note to ppl who dunno: Ben loves his shoes very much and loves keeping them clean) so yea. thats definitely good thing number 11.

great day la. so many good things happened. 11 good things to b exact. i may have even missed out some parts. but seriously one of the most awesome days of my super short life. darn cool. i wudn't haf missed it for the world. everything was great that day. heck i din even eat dinner and i din feel. must b Eunice's doughnuts. THANKS EUNICE! esp for the doughnuts. i love doughnuts!! =P haha.

2nd February 2008 is definitely one day i'm gonna cherish for like forever. awesome. =)

SWITCHFOOT! Part 1

ok first of all i shall start of saying that the Switchfoot Concert was the best concert that i've been for. it was seriously awesome. so many things made it gr8.

u know whats the funny part? at first i actually din even want to go for the concert. jus din feel like goin. but finally somehow Rachel and Wei Zhen managed to convince me to go. how? i dunno? i think they said smth like last concert and Switchfoot and it'll b good and all that. i dun even think they realised they convinced me to go. haha. but i'm so thankful they did. cuz it was soooo good.

ok so why was this concert soo gr8? well first of all it started with me winning the 2 free tickets from MTV.

it was totally unexpected. i nvr tot i wud win. i was so sure i wudnt win i went and bought a ticket too. haha. but i did win! and i was so shocked like i explained in my previous previous post. so yea i ended up with 3 tickets. so since it'll b no point to jus keep all three i sold them off la. so thats d 2nd good thing. i got to earn money while going free for a concert. haha.

anyway, on the 2nd of Feb itself i was supposed to go there early abt 11 a.m. reach there and meet up with Wei Zhen who was supposedly goin there at 10 la. but since i was supposed to b there 11 she also went at 11. noticed i used supposed. cuz i wasnt there at 11. heck i wasnt even on the way. double heck. i was still at home! haha. why? i kinda slept at 4 smth and woke up at 8. plus i was kinda rocking out to switchfoot songs with my guitar til i was late. plus my hair was giving me problems too. hard to comb okay! =P

so i finally reached there at 12p.m. SORRY FOR BEING LATE WEI ZHEN! =P but there was noone there also at that time actually. jus some other of WZ's juniors from school. its like she said la. "only girls will b that crazy to go soo early" haha.

My concert buddy. This marks d 3rd concert i've been with her already. haha.

so we had our lunch and all. tot we cud go in at 2pm cuz apparently thats what one of the organiser guys said. but he lied!! it was only supposed to open at 5.
so we were hanging around outside jus wasting time. but it was worth goin early for quite a few reasons. we got to listen to the preview of the switchfoot songs. like Oh! Gravity. plus we also got some sneak peaks at the band members b4 the concert. i guess thats the 3rd good thing? haha.

coming early was also worth it cuz we got like in the front of the line la. unfortunately some freaking idiots from nowhere jus pushed their way from God knows where to in front of us. they din even haf any frens in the line! sheesh. but we were still kinda in front. and the queue was seriously damn long. 4th good thing.

oh yeah. while we were waiting in line we were interviewed by some 8tv guy. asked us some stuff and all la. i haf a feeling i'll look dumb on tv. haha. but i dunno whens its gonna air and all that so yea. but hey i'll b on tv! thats still cool! haha. 5th good thing. so yea.

i said it was supposed to open at 5 right the doors? they lied again! it finally openned only at 6.30 plus i think. lousy fellas. we were waiting so long in line. oh yeah. we were also joined by other church ppl and some other frens in the line.

so finally when we went in we got really good places. like really really really good. we jus right behind the barrier like that. there was only one guy in front of me. then was the barrier. how great placing is that?? haha. 6th good thing.

so then all we did was wait longer for the concert to start. i guess they were trying to fill up the place la.

but we waited quite a while. we also saw some of the band members who were goin to perform lepaking in that special room upstairs in the Convention Hall.
while we were waiting also they were playing some songs to keep us entertained. haha. i remember hearing Mute Math's Typical. but the funniest part was when Muse's Time IS Running Out Started playing. cuz when it reached the chorus, the whole crowd started singing along to it. i found it funny cuz its like Switchfoot concert and everyone is singing Muse? haha. ok.



oh and also while waiting, some guy from Tv3 came up to the bunch of us in front and asked us to sing Dare You To Move. our first try ..... well lets jus say it din work out. haha. but our 2nd try was better. so he recorded. so i guess i'm on Tv3 too? haha. 7th good thing?

and then after i dunno how long of waiting, it finally started. the first opening act was love me butch. tho most ppl i know din like it cuz of the rockness, i really liked them. i tot they were really good and all that. i liked it when they played Holiwood Holiday. it was really nice jus like i on album. haha. plus love me butch's guitarist is jus freaking gr8 and awesome and wow! his hands are like flying all over the place on the guitar.
he is SUPER FAST. and SUPER ACCURATE. i was like open jawed la watching him play. awesome la. seriously jus awesome. thats also y i like love me butch. haha.

cuz i almost died and got into a major accident today.

til now i'm still freaked out abt it.

i ended up on the wrong lane with the car in front of me only one foot away.

thats the single most scariest experience of my short life.

i'll nvr do what i did again.

and this jus proves that this week will b horrible for me. esp since i had a good week last week.

holy crap la. i feel so lucky today.

well, the last week has been awesome la. i've been happy the whole time. like a whole burden has been lifted. now i understand what she meant when she said that last time.

and i remember what you said also abt fighting for what u want. and i've def seen u work for stuff u want. like some super will power. but i guess thats for smth u wanted right? so yea, when u dun fight for me its ok. i get it. u dun want me.

and the stories abt wanting me and putting me first always? its ok. i know it wasn't true.

and i'm not angry or pissed or anything at all. i'm jus happy. =) i see now y it wudn't work. and y it'll nvr work. i see that i was crap to u.

and i'm not gonna whine and whatever. i wanna grow up and take it in my stride. cuz life sucks. i'm gonna deal with that.

Good Day Gone Bad

so it was monday right, 21st. everything started off good but went down the drain after that. why? let me tell u.

well, it sorta started good with a sorta "drain" too i guess. haha. to be exact The Stormwater Management And Road Tunnel (SMART).

yea. that morning i had the chance of goin into my dad's road tunnel. k its not my dad's la, but since he's in charge of it i'll say its my dad's tunnel la k. haha!



so it was my first time. and it was kinda cool and exciting la. haha. imagine la. water goes through this whole tunnel k. and we can drive through it also.

so yea. it was kinda cool. plus i managed to go to the headquarters of the place too.

oh yeah. the reason i was there was cuz i was following my dad to work cuz i needed to go do my passport. renew it la. so yea. dropped off my dad at his office then Uncle Mani sent me to the Immigration place at Pusat Bandar Damansara (thats where Help Coll/Uni is ).

so yea. reached there at abt 8.30 and by 9 everything i needed to do on my part was done. all i had to do was wait 2 hours. ok know this PBD has nth that u can do to waste time at all. so yea. i was wondering how the heck am i supposed to use up 2 hours. oh and i had to get a new photo cuz the lady said i look diff. sheesh. 12 bucks poofed away there man. haha.

then i decided to walk around and lo and behold, i see Benji jus coming to haf his breakfast. so i join him la. so sat, ate and talked til 9 smth. then Benji got me into Help Uni and i jus followed him through the whole place looking around. then cuz it was almost 10, he had to go for and he left.

so yea. i was wondering now what am i to do for the next hour. then sudd Caleb calls and says his class at 10 was cancelled. so he came to where i was and we jus lepaked and walked around and burned another half an hour or so. lucky me la his class got cancelled. but kesian him had to waste money come all the way for no reason. so went and got my passport done.

sounds great eh so far? everything goin according to plan. so came home with Caleb then went out again later to pick up sis and give passport. so now my visa stuffs are all settled. =D then went to jaya side to buy game CD's. but apparently there was supposed to b a check that day so my game guy "din haf" any CD's. haih.

yup. that was it. thats where my day started to go bad. cuz after that i went home and the emo msges started comin in. the emoness came into me.so i decided to try and sleep it off. well i tried. din work.

so got up bathed and then me and Caleb headed to OU to meet Eunice and Sara to haf dinner b4 we go for Jo's surprise. but on the way there, i got stuck in the jam. =/ i hate jams. so annoying. so finally we got there found them and ate. it was gr8 cuz it took my mind off the emo stuffs for a while. then went for Jo's surprise at GSC to settle out the last minute plans on how we wud watch a movie and then stand up at the end with a banner to surprise him.

well, it kinda work cuz he was surprised the BB ppl and church ppl were there la. he expected the school guys tho. well, he's a smart guy what can i say. haha.

then things got extremely worse after the movie. i got to my car and the engine cudn't start. =/ imagine stuck at OU parking at 11 smth close to 12. Dheepan, the future automobile engineer came to help out but cudn't do anything. some random stranger, whom i think is also a Mechanic or Engineer also came to help and said it was a starter problem and cudnt do anything too. b4 all this happened i managed to call AAM and they said they wud come. so like after half an hour they arrived. and the guy also said it was a starter prob and nth can be done and the car had to b towed.

so thx to Dheepan, Caleb, Prakash, Ming Han and Yih Ren, and me in the drivers seat, we pushed the car down the parking lot to the outside of the OU parking so that the tow truck cud pick the car up. then we found out the tow turck wud supposedly come in one and a half hours time. so we decided to leave and come back later. i feel so bad for making ppl wait for me. SO Dheepan, Caleb, Prakash, May Hsien, Veron, Ming Han and Yih Ren, THX SO MUCH FOR WAITING WITH ME AND TEMANING ME AND WASTING YOUR TIME. really really appreciate it.

so when we reached Ming Tien, where all the other bday surprise guests were, then the guy calls and says the tow truck is there. sheesh la. talk abt bad luck la. so then drove back there and the guy tows the car back to Jo's house so that the mechanic from the workshop can pick it up from there. hey its 2am. there's no workshop open at this time right? so yea.

then we drove back to meet the ppls again and then since they were already done when we arrived i din eat la. and i was damn starving that time. but nvm la we jus left. and no we din go home yet. when to worms and played CS Iceworld til 5. then i went home.

it started out gr8. but everything went wrong. esp with the emoness and the car. haih. teruk la. and i went home and slept and only woke up at 5 p.m. i blame the emoness for sleeping so long.

but glad that day is finally over. but the after effects suck la. i mean, i tried to save things with her, but the words she said and the things that happened finally brought me to a realisation that it'll NEVER work. and eventho i hate so much the way it turned out, i guess this is how it shud b. other than the emo, i caused ppl to wait for soo long for no reason when they cud b doin other better stuffs. and i also haf no car now. which is y i'm wondering how i'm goin for CA tmrw. haih.

but i like the 22nd night. cuz i cud talk with frens and let everything out. i love when its the night b4 hols. cuz my kawans come online then. haha.

ok i shud shut up now. i've been talking too much. i'll be so amazed if anyone actually read this whole thing. talk damn a lot of crap la. haha.
